The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked, 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 "When we have become decayed bones?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 "Tell him 'Do you have the inclination to become pure?' 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 and gathered his people together 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 you pay attention 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
