And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
