[But,] behold, as for those who are bent on denying the truth - [on that same Day] a voice will call out unto them: "Indeed, greater than your [present] loathing of yourselves was God's loathing of you [at the time] when you were called unto faith but went on denying the truth!" 10 They will say: "Our Lord! You have made us to die twice (i.e. we were dead in the loins of our fathers and dead after our deaths in this world), and You have given us life twice (i.e. life when we were born and life when we are Resurrected)! Now we confess our sins, then is there any way to get out (of the Fire)?" 11 That is because when Allah alone was called upon ye disbelieved, and when some one was associated with Him ye believed. So the judgment is of Allah, the Exalted, the Great. 12 It is He who shows you His signs, and sends you food from the heavens. Yet none takes a warning except him who turns to Him. 13 So call upon Allah, consecrating all your devotion to Him, howsoever much the unbelievers may dislike it. 14 High above all orders [of being] is He, in almightiness enthroned. By His Own will does He bestow inspiration upon whomever He wills of His servants, so as to warn [all human beings of the coming] of the Day when they shall meet Him 15 The Day they come forth nothing concerning them will be concealed from Allah. To whom belongs [all] sovereignty this Day? To Allah, the One, the Prevailing. 16 Every soul will be recompensed for its deeds on this Day. There will be no injustice. Certainly God's reckoning is swift. 17 Wherefore warn them thou of the Day of portending, whereon the hearts will be in the throats, choking: then will be for the wrong-doers no ardent friend nor an intercessor to be given heed to. 18 He knows that which deceives the eyes and what the breasts conceal. 19 And Allah judges with truth, while those to whom they invoke besides Him, cannot judge anything. Certainly, Allah! He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer. 20
