Thamood, too, belied Our warnings. 23 So they said: What! a single mortal from among us! Shall we follow him? Most surely we shall in that case be in sure error and distress: 24 Out of all of us has the Reminder been given to him alone? Rather, he is indeed an arrogant liar' 25 (To him We said): 'Tomorrow they shall know who is the arrogant liar. 26 Surely We are going to send the she-camel as a trial for them; therefore watch them and have patience. 27 And declare thou unto them that water hath been divided between them; every drinking shall be by turns. 28 But they called their companion, so he took (the sword) and slew (her). 29 How then were My punishment and My warnings! 30 Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen. 31 And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? 32 Lot's people also gave the lie to the warnings, 33 Surely We sent upon them a stonestorm, except Lut's followers; We saved them a little before daybreak, 34 As favor from us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful. 35 And indeed he had warned them of Our seizure in response they doubted the warnings. 36 They even solicited of him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes: 'Now, taste My punishment and My warnings' 37 And assuredly there met them early in the morning a torment settled. 38 We said, "Suffer Our torment of which you were warned". 39 And assuredly We have made the Qur'an easy for admonition; is there then any one who would be admonished. 40

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
