Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 storming tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
