Al-Sharrhh
Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast? 1 and lift from thee thy burden, 2 that weighed down your back? 3 And [have We not] raised thee high in dignity? 4 So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief: 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when thou art empty, labour, 7 And to your Lord (Alone) turn (all your intentions and hopes and) your invocations. 8
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
