When the caravan departed their father had said: Truly I am conscious of the breath of Joseph, though ye call me dotard. 94 They said, "By God, you still persist in your illusions!" 95 Then, when the bearer of glad tidings came, he laid it on his face and he became a seer once more. He said: Said I not unto you that I know from Allah that which ye know not? 96 They said, "Father, ask God to forgive our sins; we have certainly sinned". 97 He said: 'I shall ask my Lord to forgive you. He is Forgiving, the Most Merciful' 98 And when they came in before Joseph, he took his parents unto him, and said: Come into Egypt safe, if Allah will! 99 And he raised his parents to the throne and they fell down before him prostrate. And he said: "O my father! This is the interpretation of my dream aforetime! My Lord has made it come true! He was indeed good to me, when He took me out of the prison, and brought you (all here) out of the bedouin-life, after Shaitan (Satan) had sown enmity between me and my brothers. Certainly, my Lord is the Most Courteous and Kind unto whom He will. Truly He! Only He is the All-Knowing, the All-Wise. 100 ۞ “O my Lord! you have given me a kingdom* and have taught me how to interpret some events; O Creator of the heavens and the earth – you are my Supporter in the world and in the Hereafter; cause me to die as a Muslim, and unite me with those who deserve Your proximity.” (* Prophethood and the rule over Egypt. Prophet Yusuf said this prayer while his death approached him.) 101 THIS ACCOUNT of something that was beyond the reach of thy perception We [now] reveal unto thee, [O Prophet:] for thou wert not with Joseph's brothers when they resolved upon what they were going to do and wove their schemes [against him]. 102 Yet no faith will the greater part of mankind have, however ardently thou dost desire it. 103 You do not seek from them any recompense for your service. This is merely an admonition to all mankind. 104
