The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
