(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 "And ease my task for me; 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Increase through him my strength 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 so that we exalt You 33 And much remember Thee. 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 We had already shown you favor 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 for I have chosen thee for Mine Own service. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 (Saying): Eat ye and feed your cattle. Lo! herein verily are portents for men of thought. 54
