The people of Noah denied the messengers 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 I am a trustworthy messenger for you: 107 So be fearful of God and listen to me. 108 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 109 "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 And I am not (here) to repulse believers. 114 'I am naught but a plain warner.' 115 Said they: "Indeed, if thou desist not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be stoned to death!" 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 therefore, judge decisively between me and them; and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 Then We drowned the rest (disbelievers) thereafter. 120 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
