Thus did We deliver the Children of Israel from the humiliating chastisement, 30 From Fir'aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins). 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to another, nor shall any be helped, 41 except those on whom Allah will have mercy. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 42
