Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
