Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 till you reached the grave. 2 But you will soon come to know. 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8
