VERILY, Abraham was a man who combined within himself all virtues, devoutly obeying God's will, turning away from all that is false, and not being of those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 120 [He was] grateful for His favors. Allah chose him and guided him to a straight path. 121 And We gave him in this world good, and in the world to come he shall be among the righteous. 122 Then We revealed to you, [O Muhammad], to follow the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth; and he was not of those who associate with Allah. 123 The Sabbath was ordained only for those who differed about it. On the Day of Resurrection, your Lord will decide the differences that were between them. 124 (O Prophet), call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and reason with them in the best manner possible. Surely your Lord knows best who has strayed away from His path, and He also knows well those who are guided to the Right Way. 125 And if ye do catch them out, catch them out no worse than they catch you out: But if ye show patience, that is indeed the best (course) for those who are patient. 126 Endure thou patiently (O Muhammad). Thine endurance is only by (the help of) Allah. Grieve not for them, and be not in distress because of that which they devise. 127 For Allah is with those who restrain themselves, and those who do good. 128
