And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, - 205 and then Our torment will strike them, 206 What shall that which they enjoyed avail them? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 Hence, [O man,] do not invoke any other deity side by side with God, lest thou find thyself among those who are made to suffer [on Judgment Day]. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 Surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets - it is the seduced who follow them. 224 Seest thou not that they wander distracted in every valley?- 225 And that they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
