Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 He plunged the villages 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
