And certainly We have made strongholds in the heaven and We have made it fair seeming to the beholders. 16 And (moreover) We have guarded them from every cursed devil: 17 Save him who stealeth the hearing, and him there followeth a flame gleaming. 18 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every thing justly weighed, 19 And created livelihoods for you in it, and created those for whom you do not provide the sustenance. 20 Naught is there, but its treasuries are with Us, and We send it not down but in a known measure. 21 And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then caused the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We gave it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like]. 22 And indeed, it is We who give life and cause death, and We are the Inheritor. 23 We surely know those of you who go forward and those of you who lag behind. 24 and it is your Lord who will gather them. He is Wise, Knowing. 25
