VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 Enter them in peace, secure. 46 We shall cast out any grudge they may have in their hearts. (There) they will sit on couches face to face like brothers together. 47 Neither any hardship is to reach them in it, nor are they to be expelled from it. 48 ۞ (O Prophet), declare to My servants that I am indeed Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful. 49 and that My punishment is a painful punishment. 50 And tell them of the guests of Abraham, 51 [how,] when they presented themselves before him and bade him peace, he answered: "Behold, we are afraid of you!" 52 They said: Be not afraid, surely we give you the good news of a boy, possessing knowledge. 53 He said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?" 54 They replied: 'In truth we have given you glad tidings, do not be one of those who despair' 55 He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray?" 56 Then he asked, "What then is your business, O messengers?" 57 "We have been sent," they said, "to (punish) a sinful people, 58 "Excepting the adherents of Lut: them we are certainly (charged) to save (from harm),- All - 59 except his wife who is doomed to be left behind." 60
