Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 then do not include me, my Lord, among these wrong-doing people." 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil by what is best; We know best what they describe. 96 And say: O my Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Shaitans; 97 I seek refuge in You lest they come to me." 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 so that perhaps I shall act righteously for the rest of my life." Although he will say so but his wish will never come true. After death they will be behind a barrier until the day of their resurrection. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown there will be no lineage among them that Day, nor will they ask of each other. 101 Then he whose balances shall be heavy - these! they are the blissful ones. 102 And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding. 103 The fire lashes their faces and therein are shriveled lips. 104 "Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehood?" 105 'Lord' they will reply, 'adversity prevailed over us and we were erring. 106 "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!" 107 He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. 108 "Indeed there was a group among My bondmen who said, 'Our Lord! We have accepted faith, therefore forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best Among The Merciful.' ” 109 "But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them! 110 “Indeed this day I have rewarded them for their endurance, so that it is they who are the successful.” 111 [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" 112 They will say, “We stayed a day or part of a day, so ask those who keep count.” 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 Deem ye that We have created you in vain and that unto Us ye are not to be returned? 115 So Most Supreme is Allah, the True King; there is no God except Him; Lord of the Throne of Honour. 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 (Muhammad), say, "Lord, forgive me and grant me mercy; You are the best of the Merciful Ones. 118
