Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the glorious morning light; 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Thy Sustainer has not forsaken thee, nor does He scorn thee: 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
