Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
