And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
