۞ When the example of Mary's son is quoted before them, your people cry out at it, 57 and say: "Which is better - our deities or he?" [But] it is only in the spirit of dispute that they put this comparison before thee: yea, they are contentious folk! 58 He is purely a bondman (of Ours), whom We have favoured upon, and We made him an extraordinary example for the Descendants of Israel. 59 And if We willed, We could have established angels on the earth instead of you. 60 It is the knowledge of the Hour. Have no doubt concerning it, and follow me. This is a Straight Path, 61 And let not Shaitan (Satan) hinder you (from the right religion, i.e. Islamic Monotheism), Verily, he (Satan) to you is a plain enemy. 62 And when 'Iesa (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me, 63 Allah is my Lord and your Lord; therefore, serve Him. That is the Straight Way.” 64 But sects from among themselves fell into disagreement: then woe to the wrong-doers, from the Penalty of a Grievous Day! 65 Are they merely waiting for the Hour, which will come upon them suddenly and take them unawares? 66 Friends will turn into enemies on that day, except those who fear and follow the straight path. 67
