But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 And all that ye see not 39 That this is verily the word of an honoured Messenger [i.e. Jibrael (Gabriel) or Muhammad SAW which he has brought from Allah]. 40 And it is not the word of a poet; little is it that you believe; 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer. Little is it that you reflect! 42 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 And if he had invented false sayings concerning Us, 44 We surely should have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might), 45 Then We would have cut from him the aorta. 46 And not one of you would have withheld us from punishing him. 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 but We know that some of you will cry lies. 49 yet, behold, this [rejection] will indeed become a source of bitter regret for all who deny the truth [of God's revelation] 50 And verily it is the truth of assured certainty. 51 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 52
