Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Not at all but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
Almighty God's Truth.
