Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and the brooding night! 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
