Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3
And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Most surely these do say: 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 It was not in play that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be helped. 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
