And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. 31 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 We created not the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, in play; 38 We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 the Day when a friend shall be of no avail to his friend nor shall they be helped, 41 Save those on whom Allah shall have mercy; surely He is the Mighty the Merciful. 42
