The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
