“O Noble Messengers, eat good clean things, and do good deeds; I know all that you do.” 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. 53 But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We are hastening them on to good things? Aye! they perceive not. 56 Only those who are, out of fear of Him, humble before their Lord, 57 who believe in the verses of their Lord; 58 who associate none with their Lord in His Divinity, 59 and who give whatever they [have to] give with their hearts trembling at the thought that unto their Sustainer they must return: 60 those, hasten in good works, outracing to them. 61 We charge not any soul save to its capacity, and with Us is a Book speaking truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are covered (blind) from understanding this (the Quran), and they have other (evil) deeds, besides, which they are doing. 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. 65 My Signs were rehearsed to you and you turned back on your heels and took to flight, 66 In pride (they Quraish pagans and polytheists of Makkah used to feel proud that they are the dwellers of Makkah sanctuary Haram), talking evil about it (the Quran) by night. 67 Have they not pondered over the word of God? Has something come to them that did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or did you not recognize your Messenger and, thus, denied him (Muhammad) 69 Or say they: There is a madness in him? Nay, but he bringeth them the Truth; and most of them are haters of the Truth. 70 And should the truth follow their low desires, surely the heavens and the earth and all those who are therein would have perished. Nay! We have brought to them their reminder, but from their reminder they turn aside. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 And lo! thou summonest them indeed unto a straight path. 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 And assuredly We took hold of them with the torment, yet they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they entreat. 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77
