Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 So, when the sight shall be dazed, 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
