And the king said, “I saw in a dream seven healthy cows whom seven lean cows were eating, and seven green ears of corn and seven others dry; O court-members! Explain my dream, if you can interpret dreams.” 43 'A hotchpotch of nightmares!' they said. 'We know nothing of the interpretation of nightmares.' 44 And of the two the one who was released said – and after a long time he had remembered – “I will tell you its interpretation, therefore send me forth.” 45 (And coming to the prison) he said: "O Joseph the truthful, tell us (the meaning of) seven fat cows being devoured by seven lean ones, and seven green ears of corn and seven seared, that I may go back to the people and tell them." 46 He replied: 'You shall sow for seven years as is your way. Leave in the ear (of corn) you reap, except a little which you eat. 47 Then will come after that seven difficult [years] which will consume what you saved for them, except a little from which you will store. 48 Then a year will come after that when people will have abundant rain and when once more they will press [wine and oil]." 49
