Seest thou one who turns back, 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 while you make merry? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
