Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 And the moon darkens 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
