The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
