Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 It was promised to us and to our fathers before us. It is only ancient legends." 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 And grieve thou not for them, nor be in distress because of what they plot (against thee). 70 They also say: "When will this promise (come to pass)? (Say) if ye are truthful." 71 Say: "Perhaps that which you wish to hasten on, may be close behind you. 72 Truly, your Lord is bountiful to mankind, but most of them are not grateful. 73 Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 BEHOLD, this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel most [of that] whereon they hold divergent views; 76 And indeed, it is guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Lo! thy Lord will judge between them of His wisdom, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 78 So put thy trust in Allah: for thou art on (the path of) manifest Truth. 79 Verily thou canst not make the dead hear, nor canst thou make the deaf hear the call when they flee turning their backs. 80 And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [submitting to Allah]. 81 ۞ And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. 82
