Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven lies your sustenance, and the promise you are given. 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
