[But,] behold, as for those who are bent on denying the truth - [on that same Day] a voice will call out unto them: "Indeed, greater than your [present] loathing of yourselves was God's loathing of you [at the time] when you were called unto faith but went on denying the truth!" 10 They say: Our Lord! Twice hast Thou made us die, and twice hast Thou made us live. Now we confess our sins. Is there any way to go out? 11 (They will be told): “(The cause of your present state is that) when Allah alone was invoked, you disbelieved; and when others instead of Him were invoked, you believed. Today all judgement lies with Allah, the Most High, the All-Great.” 12 It is He who shows you His signs and sends down to you from the sky, provision. But none will remember except he who turns back [in repentance]. 13 Therefor (O believers) pray unto Allah, making religion pure for Him (only), however much the disbelievers be averse - 14 [He is] the Exalted above [all] degrees, Owner of the Throne; He places the inspiration of His command upon whom He wills of His servants to warn of the Day of Meeting. 15 the Day when they shall rise up [from their graves] and nothing about them will be hidden from God. "To whom shall the kingdom belong that Day?" It shall belong to God, the One, the All Powerful. 16 Today each soul shall be recompensed for that it has earned; no wrong today. Surely God is swift at the reckoning.' 17 Warn them (O Muhammad) of the Day of the approaching (doom), when the hearts will be choking the throats, (when) there will be no friend for the wrong-doers, nor any intercessor who will be heard. 18 God knows the disloyalty of the eyes and what the hearts conceal. 19 And Allah judges with truth, while those to whom they invoke besides Him, cannot judge anything. Certainly, Allah! He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer. 20
