Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the wind that scatters far and wide, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 and the smooth runners 3 And the angels who distribute the affair. 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 And it will be said to them, “Taste your own roasting; this is what you were impatient for.” 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
