And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 The people of Firon: Will they not guard (against evil)? 11 He said: my Lord! verily I fear they shall belie me. 12 And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron. 13 As for me, they hold the charge of a crime against me. I fear they will put me to death." 14 He said: "Certainly not! So go both of you with Our Signs. We shall be with you listening to everything. 15 Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds, 16 Send forth with us the Children of Israel' 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 Yet you were ungrateful and have done the deed you did' 19 He said: I did it then when I was mistaken. 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him). 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?" 23 [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced." 24 Said he to those about him, 'Do you not hear?' 25 Musa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 Pharaoh said: "If you take any god other than me, I will certainly make you one of those (who are rotting) in prison." 29 Said he: "Even if I should bring about before thee something that clearly shows the truth?" 30 [Pharaoh] answered: "Produce it, then, if thou art a man of truth!" 31 Moses threw his staff and suddenly it became a serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand and lo! it was white to the beholders. 33
