Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the sky is split, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
