The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity? 3 The day on which men shall be as scattered moths, 4 and the mountains shall be like fluffs of carded wool in varying colours. 5 Then as for him whose measure of good deeds is heavy, 6 shall have a blissful life; 7 but he whose weight is light in the Scale, 8 He will have his home in Hawiyah (pit, i.e. Hell). 9 Ah, what will convey unto thee what she is! - 10 It is a blazing fire. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
