Say: "O Lord, if I am made to see what has been promised them, 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is the best, We are the Best Knower of that which they utter. 96 And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones, 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 Until, when death comes to one of them (those who join partners with Allah), he says: "My Lord! Send me back, 99 so that perhaps I shall act righteously for the rest of my life." Although he will say so but his wish will never come true. After death they will be behind a barrier until the day of their resurrection. 100 When the trumpet is blown, on that Day there will be no ties of relationship between them; neither will they ask about one another: 101 Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, 102 but those whose scales are light shall forfeit their souls and live in Gehenna (Hell) for ever. 103 The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles. 104 'What, were My signs not recited to you, and you cried them lies?' 105 They shall say: O our Lord! our adversity overcame us and we were an erring people: 106 O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out of this [suffering] - and then, if ever We revert [to sinning,] may we truly be [deemed] evildoers!" 107 He will say, "Be quiet and say nothing." 108 Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.' 109 you made a laughingstock of them and your hostility to them caused you to forget Me, and you simply kept laughing. 110 Today I shall recompense them for their patience, for it is they that have won. 111 Then Allah will ask them: "For how many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will answer: "We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time]" 113 He will say, “You stayed but only a little, if you knew.” 114 Did you, then, think that We created you in mere idle play, and that you would not have to return to Us?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
