Say, "Who can protect you at night or by day from the Most Merciful?" But they are, from the remembrance of their Lord, turning away. 42 Can their gods protect them against Us? Their gods have no power even to help themselves, nor are they safe from Our retribution. 43 We gave days of enjoyment to them and their fathers until their life became long. Are they unable to see how We come to their land and reduce its borders. Or, is it they who are the victors? 44 Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I warn you only by the Inspiration. But the deaf hear not the call when they are warned. 45 yet if even a breath of your Lord's punishment touched them, they would say, "Woe to us! We were indeed wrongdoers." 46 We shall maintain proper justice on the Day of Judgment. No soul will be wronged the least. For a deed even as small as a mustard seed one will duly be recompensed. We are efficient in maintaining the account. 47 To Moses and Aaron We granted the criteria of discerning right from wrong, and We gave them the light and a reminder to the pious ones 48 those who fear Allah in the Unseen, tremble because of the Hour. 49 And this is an admonition blest, which We have sent down! will ye then be the rejectors thereof? 50
