The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 by the night swarming, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 where then are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
