Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
