The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven bursts asunder, 1 And it listens to the command of its Lord – and that befits it. 2 when the earth is stretched out 3 And shall cast forth that which is therein, and shall become empty. 4 obeying its Lord, as it must do! 5 O human, you are working hard towards your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 Then as to him who shall be given his book in his right hand 7 Soon an easy account will be taken from him. 8 And will return unto his folk in joy. 9 But as for he who is given his record behind his back, 10 He shall call for perdition, 11 And be thrown to scorching fire. 12 Verily, he was among his people in joy! 13 and had thought that they would never be brought back to life again. 14 Yes indeed, his Lord was ever watching him. 15 Nay; I swear by the twilight; 16 And by oath of the night and all that gathers in it. 17 And by the moon when it is at the full, 18 That ye shall journey on from plane to plane. 19 What is the matter with them that they do not accept faith? 20 and when the Koran is recited to them they do not bow? ۩ 21 But those who have disbelieved deny, 22 God is quite aware of what they are storing in their hearts. 23 So give them tidings of a painful doom, 24 But for those who believe and do good works; for them there shall be a never-ending reward. 25
