The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is no joke. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
