And recall when the hypocrites and those whose hearts were diseased said: 'Their faith has deluded these (believers)'. But he who puts his trust in Allah shall find Allah All-Mighty, All-Wise. 49 And couldst thou behold when the angels take away the life of those who disbelive striking their faces and their backs: taste the torment of burning. 50 That is for what your hands have forwarded, Allah is not unjust to His worshipers' 51 Their case is like that of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They denied the signs of Allah and so Allah seized them for their sins. Surely Allah is All-Powerful, Stern in retribution. 52 That is because Allah would not change a favor which He had bestowed upon a people until they change what is within themselves. And indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing. 53 [Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them. They denied the signs of their Lord, so We destroyed them for their sins, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh. And all [of them] were wrongdoers. 54 Verily, the vilest creatures in the sight of God are those who are bent on denying the truth and therefore do not believe. 55 Those with whom you made a treaty, then they break their agreement each time and do not fear. 56 If thou comest on them in the war, deal with them so as to strike fear in those who are behind them, that haply they may remember. 57 If you are afraid of the treachery of some of your allies, you may disregard your treaty with them. God does not love the treacherous ones. 58
