Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 What, would they then say: 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
