The Elephant (Al-Feel)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon) before Daybreak (Al-Falaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) not seen how your Lord dealt with the Owners of the Elephant? [The elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka'bah at Makkah]. 1 Did He not bring their stratagem to naught, 2 And send down (to prey) upon them birds in flocks, 3 They hurled upon them stones of baked clay; 4 Thus He made them like stubble cropped by cattle? 5
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
